Meghan Rowe, Photographer

I am beyond passionate about a few things in my life: fabulous food, a glass of superb red wine, delicious dark chocolate, and, of course, great art and extraordinary photography.

And as a family and wedding photographer, I consider it a privilege and an honor to be invited into people’s lives to capture and document their most precious moments.

Every day, I consider myself incredibly fortunate to be invited to commemorate the cherished moments in people’s lives, whether it be documenting their engagements, capturing their weddings or photographing their children.

I graduated from The University of Vermont with a BA in Fine Arts and Art History. I then moved to New York City to take a corporate job in advertising and soon realized that a corporate career was not for me. With the encouragment of my family, I moved to Key West Florida to take a few months off. It was there, on the tiny island of Key West that I realized photography was my calling.

In 2007, to further my knowledge and hone my craft, I attended a fantastic photojournalism Master’s program in Paris called Spéos Photographic Institute. I was able to transform a passion into a profession as well as to create a solid transition into the emerging world of digital photography.

After traveling and studying for almost two years throughout Europe and South America, I returned to Key West and formed mecimages, llc.

I now reside in Charleston, South Carolina with my husband, our son Keegan and our dog Gracie.

In 2015, I decided it was time for a change, and closed mecimages, llc and opened: Meghan Rowe Photography.

I'm available for travel worldwide.
